Note | (Research):Nancy Quinn Lawson's daugter, Melinda died August 5, 1871 and John B. died July 28, 1875. They are buried with their mother at the Cassville Cemetery located an the east side of state Road 31 near Cassville, Indiana in Howard County. It is close to the Miami County Line. Miranda Lawson McCarty was a newspaper Publisher and they lived near Wheeling Indiana for many years . At that time Wheeling was thought to eventually grow to be a large city but it didn't happen. Miranda's Aunt Linda Lawson Maddox raised Miranda. Linda lived near Wheeling Indiana. Nathan remarried and lived near Gaston, Indiana. His wife's name was Margaret 1850-1925. Mrs Pearl Randall and I visited Rinda McCarty at 225 E. Mulberry Street, Lebanon, Ohio. Rinda was 90 years old December 29, 1963. We visited her at Thankksgiving Time that year. Rinda had travelled all over many of the Western States, sometimes by Stagecoach. She was a very interesting person and a great hostess. She had a very keen mind. Her brother or nephew was Russell Lawson of Gaston, Indiana. He had an automobile dealership. Other relatives were Nellie Lawson Shepherd and Cora Lawson Boyle. |

Debaun, defendants: Plaintiffs state that William Quinn died testate in the County of Mercer, May 17, 1879. T. J. Debaun qualified as executor of his will which was admitted to record. In said will William Quinn divised part of his property to his widow, Nancy Quinn for her lifetime, but she died before William Quinn did. He also devised to children of daughters Lucy A. Jennings and Nancy Jennings one dollar each. The defendants Coleman Jennings and Henry Jennings are the only children of Nancy Jennings and that Mary Jennings and Malinda Jennings and Amanda Jennings who married Adkins and is now deceased are the only children of Lucy A. Jennings. Amanda Jennings Adkins, dec'd, left one child, Susan Ellen Adkins, an infant under 14 years of age. The remainder of the estate was devised to Coleman Quinn, William Quinn, Susan Carey who is now dead and left two children, Nancy Carey who married William Pevler and Susan Carey who married G. W. Johnson. The last six named are plaintiffs herein. Robert Quinn who is a non-resident of the state of Kentucky and now absent therefrom and J. V. Quinn and Edmund Quinn who is now dead and died leaving no heirs and who was not heard of or from for 25 years before the death of William Quinn and M. Jane Gash who is dead and who was not heard from for more than 13 years before William Quinn died and who left no children and John W. Quinnwho died leaving children but the name and residence of the children are unknown to your plaintiffs. All of these last named persons are made defendants to this suit. William Quinn did in February 1887 rent to or convey his land in trust to T.J. DeBaun as well as other property. T. J. DeBaun did take control of the property and did rent out the same, did collect rents but he did not aply this maney to the care and suport of William Quinn or pay off his debts. After William Quinn's death, said DeBaun sold part of the land and has made a settlement which plantiffs aver is not properly calculated, that it was wrong, illegal and erroneous in different items and specifications and they ask judgment for amount due to each of them. P. B. Thompson, Sr. states that he is one of the attorneys of the plaintiffsColeman Quinn and William Quinn who are non-residents of the state of Kentucky and are now absent from Mercer Co. and that he believes the statements of the foregoing petition are true. E. L. Stevenson, attorney for non-resident defendants Robert Quinn and J. V. Quinn states that he wrote to J. V. Quinn and informed him of the nature of the action but received no answer from him . Have written also to Robert Quinnn informing him but have received no response from him. Filed May 12,1882. JUDGMENT Balance due administrator is $44.00 and he is to deduct that amount from a note of $228.40 which he is supposed to collect, also to retain $30.00 commission allowed him. He will also pay P. B. Thompson, Sr. $50.00 as attorney fees, W. B. Allen $25.00 allowed him, E. H. Gaither $10.00 fee allowed him, and E. L. Stevenson, attorney $10.00, also the Sheriffs and Clerks cost in each case. He will pay the children of Nancy Jennings 50 cents each, the children of Lucy A. Jennings 33 1/3 cents each and the balance to be divided into five equal parts of which he will pay 1/5 to Coleman Quinn, Robert Quinn, J. V.
